Hi. I read your comment on Margeaux's blog. Sounds like we have a similar story except that I have been married 5 years, not 20 like you. However, we do have three kids together, which makes it that much more difficult. I get afraid that my SAH is going to return to these behaviors without my knowledge while "in recovery", but I have learned a lot in my own program which has given me so much strength. I never realized I could focus on me and get away with it. I love it! =) Anyways, I am so sorry this has happened to you. Ugh. My heart really goes out to you completely.
Oh yeah, and I also kicked the alcohol habit recently. I'm almost 6 months sober. I actually got sober 4 months after I found out my husband was an SA. A complete miracle considering that was the most excruciating time of my life. Congrats to you and congrats to me!
A 40-something Mum trying to gain sobriety & serenity in the wake of her husband's sexual addiction...all while kicking the bottle!
We are both in Recovery
